The Hand!
on Sunday @ 1:16 PM
The above is an exercise in sound. Hand-crafted sounds to go along with images to freak you out. It was created in magical stereo, shame Youtube audio is pants.
I've only got about a million things to do before Christmas holidays (roughly December 12th). I will be working through Christmas, obviously, and have shifts on all of the best days. My favourite part about this time of year is the fact that I can start constructing the best Christmas mix ever, it will overshadow last year without a doubt. Half of the 14 days worth of music on my iTunes is basically festive songs. I am also in the process of creating a to-watch list, including all the best movies and Christmas episodes of TV shows. If you can think of any good ones let me know, comment-stlye.

Deep-Fry Your Pizzas
on @ 2:13 PM

It's coming to the end of a long, long week. It's been filled with nervous excitement for what was Scotland's biggest match in years, against Italy.
Being a member of the Tartan Army (and travel club), I managed to get tickets for the game pretty easily. All of the guys in the group showed up to this one (from as far as Switzerland... and Linlithgow) which was good, especially since Bob is leaving for South America tomorrow and he won't be back until June.
Scotland fought hard, it was a great campaign (the best one I've been to consistently without a doubt) and I've had great fun. It's gonna be a long wait until the World Cup qualifiers but I can't wait.
The trip home wasn't as fun, hour-long wait in the rain for the train. Back in Edinburgh we had to walk for 30mins in the rain again, before we found a taxi. In the train queue the one saving grace was the humour, one guy kept shouting "ScotRail... BOOOOO".
My auntie threw a Led Zeppelin party and me and Bex weren't aware people would be dressing up, but we managed to try on a couple of wigs anyway.
It's nearly Christmastime already and the thought excites me. For Halloween I had a pretty decent playlist on iTunes and a stack of horror DVDs to watch. Christmas is gonna be a much bigger deal, I've been thinking about the movies and TV shows and this years winter playlist is gonna be phenomenal. I will post some results here too, I guess.
Congrats to Lisa (and everyone else - including Miss Read), who graduated on Thursday. She had a big day and I caught up (45 minutes late thanks to a sound project for uni) at Petit Paris for a family meal. It was really nice and afterwards Lisa, Mikey , Bex and I went to Bar Kohl and Opal Lounge. The latter was hosting a Hawaian/tropical/beach and coconuts type thing. For some reason I was convinced into getting a coconut punch thing, which actually came in a coconut and I was not impressed. It was freezing outside.
Oh Yoko!

Photos, as promised. More in the folder, obviously.
Stuck won the Silver Hugo in Chicago Film Festival for best narrative in short.
Simone (not pictured) became 18. We visited a couple of places that can only be described as 'Cuban themed'.
There Simone is! In a Michael sandwich, no less!
Taken only last night, Andy and Natalia.
Natalia is proper street.
Muz. A massive fan of portait shots.

I've got a kilt oredered for next weekend too, a refelection shot.

One of the random film archives hidden away at the ECA.

And... Back at Simone's... Mr and Mrs Finge.

Becky all smiles at the party.

Halloween at the Art School.

Trick or treaters on Halloween!

My Dad's latest birthday (meal at lovely Thai restaurant, The Dusit)
Silence was Golden

I have lots of pictures to post and even more to write about but I am busy and forgot how time consuming essays are, even when you are not doing them. They seem to take up a lot of your brain, in an ideas-worry-confusion recipe for disaster.
I decided I wanted a new phone and a better contract at like 3pm yesterday. At 1030am today I was already using my new K850i (5supermegapixels). Maybe I will take lots more pictures and whack them up here.
I got a load of new DVDs recently, Dekalog (all 10 parts), Volver, The Double Life of Vernoique, Hidden and lots more from Blockbuster (fantastic deals, including 4 fo' a 10er) and from the school library. I am saturated with things to watch and listen to and write about. Media, media, media. I guess I shouldn't be complaining (and I'm not) but man, am I happy when I get a breather.
Had folks round for Halloween movies, went to Simone's 18th birthday, Shell's leaving night, football matches etc etc (fotos 2 follow).
